Düsseldorfer Marionetten-Theater

The Düsseldorf Marionette Theatre is home to luckdragons, ghosts and many other fantasy creatures.
The five-person puppeteer ensemble presents a lively and contemporary array of plays for adults and children of 8 years and older in their little theatre on Bilker Straße, between Königsallee and Rheinuferpromenade.
In most plays, the marionettes – suspended on strings up to two metres long – are moved invisibly from three movable bridges. Everything you see on stage is produced in the theatre’s own workshops.
The repertoire of 22 full-length productions includes classics such as Shakespeare’s “Midsummer Night’s Dream”, Mozart’s “Magic Flute” and modern fairy tales.
Puppetry is an art form that speaks for itself and can be understood without words.

Regular performances: Wednesday,Friday and Saturday at 8pm, plus Saturday at 3pm
